An elegant Lake Oswego couple married by Married In Moments

Small Can Still Be Special

An elegant elopement, without a single vendor to manage.

Lake Oswego couples tend to want the same two things: something genuinely lovely, and absolutely zero chaos. That’s our specialty. Choose a private license signing, a styled Minute Chapel elopement with photos, or a Simply Eloped ceremony at your own home or garden by the lake — each one warm, unhurried, and legally complete, with all the paperwork filed for you.

For the license, most Lake Oswego couples use Clackamas County (Oregon City, by appointment) or Multnomah County (Portland, walk-in) — both $60, and both valid anywhere in Oregon.

Lake Oswego FAQ

Questions Couples Ask Us

  • Do you serve Lake Oswego couples?
Yes — our styled ceremony space in Beaverton is about 20 minutes from Lake Oswego, and with Simply Eloped we come to your home, garden, or private venue in Lake Oswego with up to 20 guests welcome.
  • Where do Lake Oswego couples get a marriage license?
Lake Oswego sits mostly in Clackamas County, whose Recording Division is in Oregon City ($60, by appointment — apply online first). Because an Oregon license is valid statewide, the Multnomah County office in Portland ($60, no appointment needed) works just as well. See our county guides for both.
  • Can we have a small, elegant ceremony without planning a wedding?
That’s exactly what we do. The Minute Chapel gives you a styled backdrop, a short heartfelt ceremony, and a mini photo session — all in under an hour, starting at $175. No vendors to coordinate, no planning spreadsheet required.
  • Do we need witnesses?
Oregon law requires two witnesses at every marriage ceremony. Bring your own at no cost, or we can provide witnesses for $25 per person — even if it’s just the two of you.
  • Who returns the signed license after the ceremony?
We do. Your officiant must return the signed license to the issuing county within five business days — we handle that for you with priority mailing, included in every package.
