Every Oregon county issues the same statewide-valid license — but fees and processes differ. Pick your county (or the most convenient one) and we’ll walk you through it.

Washington County

Our home county. Recording Office in Hillsboro; $85 fee as of July 2026 — or apply next door for $60.

One License, All of Oregon

The Rule That Makes It All Simple

  • Any county works. An Oregon marriage license is valid in all 36 counties — apply wherever it’s most convenient (or least expensive) and marry anywhere in the state.
  • The 3-day wait. Licenses become effective three days after you apply; most counties can waive it for a small fee if your ceremony is sooner.
  • 60 days to use it. Your license is valid for 60 days from its effective date — plenty of time to book your moment with us.
  • Two witnesses, and we can help. Bring your own at no cost, or add ours for $25 each.
  • We file everything. The signed license goes back to the county within five business days — priority mailing included in every package.
